Hi everyone! This is the first Harry Potter fan fiction I’ve published, so I’m a bit nervous. Before I get going on my epic novel, here are a few bits of information you might need to know: My username is Hermione. My house is Ravenclaw. This story is suitable for everyone (unless you are allergic to kissing, in which case, you’ll probably die before you finish it (joking)) It is a romance (hence the name!). I haven’t finished it yet, so I don’t know all the pairings. Here are just a few: Hermione and Ron, Harry and Ginny, Harry and Cho (wow, Harry’s busy), Draco and Parvati (one way), Narcissa and Severus etc. Here are some facts that will help you find your way around Hogwarts: This is set in the Easter holidays during Harry, Ron and Hermione’s sixth year. Harry and Ginny are, bizarrely, together?!?! I know it makes no sense whatsoever, but who cares? I will post it in sections, so don’t read the beginning and think ”that’s it now”, wait until I put The End. Please, please, please tell me what you think about it. Mail it to me and tell me if you think it is: *= a hanging offence **= pretty awful, but not a hanging offence ***=Average ****=Very good *****=So wonderful it’s almost as good as the books. ;D I could really use some constructive criticism! At the end of each section, I will give you a preview of what’s coming next. Ok, finished the pre-story waffle, let us ajourn to the prologue(when I’ve finished running Spell-check on it)!

[glow=red,2,300]The Love at Hogwarts[/glow] [glow=red,2,300] Prologue[/glow] Up in one of the highest towers of Hogwarts, sat a girl. She was sitting by a rusty, black cauldron. Around her lay many ingredients: thistles, a jar of honey, the residue of poppy seeds ground in a bowl, grains of rose quartz glinted in the light of the one candle still illuminating the darkened chamber. She checked a book again, her straight, silky hair lightly brushing the edge of the page. The potion in her cauldron began to bubble slowly. The girl lowered the heat under the cauldron, so the potion simmered gently. The potion was the colour of raspberry tart, dark Belgian chocolate and whipped cream, swirled together so the potion looked like the cover of an expensive notebook you can buy in Venice. The scent that wafted from this delicate brew was like melting chocolate mixed with fresh, spring flowers and a dash of newly mown grass. The girl reached into her schoolbag and pulled out a minute bottle. As she uncorked it, a single rose petal, the colour of red autumn leaves, fluttered out of it into her hand. The girl dropped it into her cauldron. As soon as the petal touched the shimmering surface of the potion, it caught on fire and vanished in a heart-shaped puff of white smoke. She turned away from her cauldron, and began to put the remnants of her ingredients back into her bag. Silvery steam rose from the surface, catching the light of the candle like gems and hung in the air like fine gauze. The potion is Amor Plutant, a potion so powerful that one drop will make a person in love for three days. The steam which rises from the potion also has powerful properties. It makes love stronger, and lovers more bold, and, though it cannot create love, it can kindle it, and make the flame of love burn brighter. The steam rises and drifts leisurely towards the open window. The girl paid no attention to it. As it mixed with the crisp night air, the steam was caught by a passing breeze, and wafted around Hogwarts. Coming soon...Ron [glow=red,2,300]&[/glow]Hermione

Thanks! Here it is: Ron [glow=red,2,300]&[/glow] Hermione
Part 1 Hermione sat and waited in her dormitory for midnight to come. She checked her reflection in Parvati’s floor-length mirror. She was wearing a pale blue dressing gown with different coloured snow flakes embroidered across the hem. Her nightdress underneath was fresh, white and clean. She was wearing white slippers with fine silver thread sewn on them. She checked her watch: it was quarter to midnight. Hermione suppressed a giggle so she didn’t wake Lavender or Parvati. Yesterday Ron had asked to meet her at midnight in the Gryffindor. He’d slipped it quietly to her during Charms while Harry was wrestling off a scarf he’d bewitched, which was trying to strangle him. Ron had said he wanted to ‘talk’ to her. Hermione had spent hours wondering what he meant. She sighed and tapped her foot on the floor. Ron. He was so difficult to pin down. Sometimes he would talk with her for hours, normally when they were alone, and Hermione would be on the brink of telling him exactly what she felt. Then, the next moment he would be his old self, teasing her about something stupid. She went to the window and opened it, letting in the cool, fresh air. There were no clouds in the sky, only countless numbers of glittering stars. Hermione leant against the window sill. The trees of the forbidden forest swayed and rustled, but in a cheerful way. A shooting star suddenly burst into flame, and traced a fiery arc across the sky. Hermione closed her eyes and made a wish. She shut the window, brushed her hair and quietly made her way into the common room. It was almost completely dark. The fireplace only contained charred remnants of logs. Using her hands, Hermione felt her way along the wall until she came to the doorway to the boys’ dormitory. Someone put a hand on her shoulder. She gasped and turned around. It was Ron. “You gave me a shock,” Hermione whispered. Ron grinned. “So, what did you want to talk to me about?” “This isn’t the right place,” whispered Ron, “let’s go somewhere more private.” Hermione felt intrigued, “Like where?” Ron grinned again, “How about the Room of Requirement?” he asked. He grabbed her elbow and pulled her towards the portrait hole. “Filch will catch us!” Hermione protested. Ron laughed, “No he won’t, I nicked Harry’s invisibility cloak,” he pulled out the familiar silvery folds of Harry’s cloak. “You didn’t tell anyone you were meeting me, did you?” he asked. “No, you?” “Nope. Ok, let’s get going,” he said cheerily as he wrapped the cloak around them both.
